  • When: Thursday, October 13
  • Time: 7 p.m. ET
  • Where: Milan Puskar Stadium (Morgantown, W.V.)

The Bears are coming off a wild game against Oklahoma State last week, where they were unable to come back from a 20-point deficit in the third quarter, though they did get within a score twice. Yet, the 36-25 loss marked the program’s second of the season, and first in conference action. A loss during the regular season does not mean Baylor’s chance of a conference title is over, as they went 7-2 before taking down the Cowboys in the Big 12 Championship Game last season. However, if they want to make it that far again, the Bears defense is going to have make big plays to get back into the win column.

West Virginia is looking to find consistency on defense has well. Their lone notable win this season came against ACC opponent Virginia Tech last month. However, of their three defeats, the Mountaineers’ losses to Pitt and Kansas were both by one score. They will look to recover after falling to Texas two weeks ago, striving for their first Big 12 win since beating Kansas in the regular season finale in 2021.

The Mountaineers are 6-4 all-time against the Bears, though Baylor has won two of the last three meetings.

MY PICK: Baylor wins, 35-27
