West Virginia Preseason Football Practice Report #5  University Athletics

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – West Virginia Co-Defensive Coordinator and defensive backs coach ShaDon Brown spent more than 20 minutes visiting with media following Thursday morning’s practice.
Brown, who was under the weather and missed the first two days of preseason camp, discussed the Mountaineer secondary and the value of team speed, among other things.
West Virginia does not have any on-field activities planned for today, but will be back at this weekend with heavy work slated for Saturday and Sunday. Coach Neal Brown will be made available to the media following Saturday’s practice and a video of his press conference will be available to watch on WVUsports.com and WVU’s official YouTube channel YouTube.com/wvusports later in the day.
Yesterday, the University of Pittsburgh announced that the 2022 renewal of the Backyard Brawl is officially sold out. The two teams will be playing for the 105th time, but the first since West Virginia claimed a 21-20 victory at Milan Puskar Stadium in 2011.
Pitt’s is coming off an 11-3 season and an ACC championship game victory over Wake Forest.  
ESPN College GameDay will be in Pittsburgh to preview the weekend college football action.
