West Virginia Black Heritage Festival Announces a Full Slate of Activities for Event Running Sept. 9-11


The West Virginia Black Heritage Festival Annual Scholarship Golf Tournament is scheduled for Friday Sept. 9, 2022 starting at Registration starts at 8 a.m. at the Bel Meadow Country Club. in Mt. Clare. 

 

The Youth Block Party is scheduled for Friday Sept. 9, 2022 from 5 p.m. to  8 p.m. at Jackson Square on Pike Street in Clarksburg. There will be music, food, crafts, face painting. fun games, several inflatables, free eye exams, fire safety and a backpack giveaway (filled with supplies).  

 

Also during the Youth Block Party there will be a 3 vs. 3 basketball tournament starting at 5 p.m., free for kids under 18, $20 for 18 and over. 

 

The West Virginia Black Heritage Festival is scheduled for Saturday, Sept 10 and 11, 2022. The opening ceremonies start at 1 p.m., where the King and Queen will be crowned at that time.

 

There will be a praise worship Sept. 11 at Mt. Zion Baptist Church. It runs from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
