West Virginia to have New School Superintendent as Burch Transferred to State School for Deaf and Blind


According to MetroNews, the state Board of Education voted Wednesday to grant the request of state School Superintendent Clayton Burch to transfer him to be superintendent of the West Virginia Schools for the Deaf and Blind.

 

The motion to grant the transfer followed a 20-minute executive session that took place during the state Board’s meeting in Charleston.

 

The transfer takes effect at the end of business Wednesday. Burch will be paid $142,327 a year in his new position.
